Taking into consideration my knowledge about nursing as a profession, I place emphasis on three major reasons why I want to be a nurse, including personal development, good pay and benefits, and social recognition.  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   The first reason why I want to be a nurse is that nursing is a unique profession as it provides massive opportunities for personal development. I want to become a professional nurse; therefore, I am ready to continue my education. I have already taken the steps to make sure the one-year commitment to the Vocational Nursing Program can be fulfilled. I realize that my education will continue for over the next 10 years. I have got the academic record from HS (3.0 student). However, I am not going to stop my educational process. My hobbies are cheerleading, softball, and powerlifting.   I believe that my hobbies, skills and abilities will contribute to my nursing practice. Besides, my volunteer work has given me an opportunity to develop good communication skills, which are crucial in nursing profession.  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   The second reason why I want to be a nurse is the good pay and benefits. I know that nursing is a field that provides opportunities to having a high income with not a lot of time of learning, coaching and training compared to other fields, such as teaching or engineering. A registered nurse makes $25 an hour and up, while this position requires only 2 years of education in a community college. Some nurses, who have spent more time in college, get $100,000 to $150,000 a year. It becomes clear that nursing is a field that needs continuing education, but the level of education influences not only the salary, but also the demand for nursing services.  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   The third reason why I want to be a nurse is that nursing ensures social recognition. The process of patient care is a complex one. Nurses assume primarily responsibility for their patients, while patients feel nurses’ support and have respect for these people. In other words, nursing services need social recognition. Nurses use their skills and abilities to meet the health needs of the community. Actually, nursing profession deserves recognition of society as a whole, as well as the recognition of each patient served by nurses. The movie with the same name as the book, like the book, recounts Arenas’ life. It details his birth in rural Cuba, his youth and his growth as a writer. It shows him migrating to the U.S. achieving some recognition and success there, before dying of AIDS. Schnabel inevitably has not been able to put the whole content of the book into the movie. However the essence and most of the themes of the book have been incorporated into the movie. Adapted films may be able to bring a book to life. However it is not possible to make a movie from a book with as much detail or depth as a book. In Schnabel’s case adaptation of Before Night Falls, became even more difficult because the book was not only the story of the life of one man but the book also portrayed political history that was quite complicated in nature. A faithful and total adaptation of the memoir would need more than six hours of viewing. Schnabel while missing out on many portions of the book however remains faithful to some of the important actual events in the life of Arenas. Schnabel handles the movie with a light touch with none of the weighty sequences found in the book. He does no go into the details of the brutality and torment Arenas experiences in prison. When most of us here the word leader we think of a superior being. A person that is totally unlike any other. There have been many leaders in the past centuries. One that I found most significant was Louis Armstrong. He was a great musician in so many ways. He patented his own style of music that became known and loved all over the world.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Louis Armstrong was born on August 4th 1901 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Mayanne and William Armstrong. Louis had many great accomplishments throughout his life. While doing what he loved he became a leader everyone loved and recognized. Louis had a hard and painful childhood. His father abandoned the family when Louis was just a little baby. Over the next five years Louis lived with his grandmother, Josephine Armstrong. At just the age of six Louis and three other boys form a vocal quartet and they would perform on the street corners for tips.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  In 1922 at the age of 21 Louis moves to Chicago to play second cornet in the band of Joe Oliver. As Louis performs he is slowly being recognized for his music. Finally on April 5 1923 he recorded his first song at the Gennett Studios in Richmond, Indiana as a member of King Oliver’s Creole Jazz Band. In February of 1924 he marries Lil Hardin. She played the piano for the King Oliver’s Creole Jazz Band. In September 1924 he leaves King Oliver and moves to New York City to join the Fletcher Henderson Orchestra. He records a few songs with them.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Finally on November 12th 1925 Louis makes his first recordings as a leader with his own group named the Hot Five. It is here were he created his own style of music called the Satchmo way. This musical style became very popular among the world’s population. A CBD is a central business district. This is the place where the majority of office blocks are and a large amount of comparison shops and shopping outlets. Also a factor that shows is that the land rent is high leading to the land being used to its full potential. I predict that there are several places in chippenham that could be possible CBD's. These are as follows: * In the upper part of the town near to the station * In the central high street * On the outskirts of town located in the bumpers farm industrial estate. Out of these I believe that the high street and the centre of the town are most likely to show characteristics of a CBD. Methodology How we can delimit the CBD of chippenham In order to find out where the CBD of chippenham is we are going to have to do one or two of several things. We will use the things that CBD's have in common and test chippenham to find where these things are most prominent (where the CBD will be). Some of the test that we can use will be: * Finding where the pedestrian density is the highest * Where the larger frontages of the shops are * Where there are a higher amount of fast food restaurants and cafes * We could use the nearest neighbour analysis on the shops * We could use the proportion of the shops and retail outlet compared to the other land used (in the CBD) it would be higher * We could conduct a business index (if we could gain access to the buildings) We have decided that due to a limit of time and recourse we will us the following method to find the CBD of Chippenham: * We will do a pedestrian count at several sites around the centre of the town, counting the amount of people that walk past us in a minute. We will repeat this get an average. * Pace out the frontage of the shop to find if there are any with a much larger space than others (these will probably be the chain stores). * And count the number of fast food and restaurant outlets from the arches to the market place at the top of town, as this will give us an idea of where the demand for fast food is at the highest. Once we have done this we will be able to plot graphs and draw conclusion of where the CBD is. Results and graphs A graph to show the pedestrian density on the centre of Chippenham This graph shows very clearly that as we get closer to the centre of town the density of pedestrians increase which is what we would have expected. Woolworth's is the place where the highest density is this is the middle of the high street. The largest shop frontage appears to be in the centre of the high street also agreeing with the prediction that I made. Evaluation From the evidence we have gathered we can see that the CBD of Chippenham is the centre of town. The pedestrian count showed a higher density of people in the centre than any other location in the town. There we a high amount of fast-food outlets and cafe in the town centre but these numbers decreased the further a way form town you got. The shop frontage count showed that the majority of large shop frontages were chain outlets and the larges ones we positioned in the town centre. However there were a few exceptions like Iceland which had a high frontage but want located in the centre. We also made an observation that in the north of the town there are a high amount of solicitors and building societies. These are comparison businesses so rely on each other for their trade; this is why they are all so close together. If I were going to this experiment again I would change certain things depending on the amount of money and recourses I had available to me. I think I would try and have a higher amount of people doing the pedestrian counts so that I could have larger amounts of data. This would hopefully improve the quality and accuracy of my results. I would have done the experiment at several different times if day to find out if that had an influence of the data. The experiment was done on a temperate day so I don't think the weather would have affected the results. I would have done the frontage of the shops with slightly more accurate equipment (measures with instruments rather than pacing). Thins may have had a bearing on the results however I think that the pacing method was fairly accurate.

This Act is under the auspice of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (NRE). However, strangely the biotechnology industry is under the supervision of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). As for the agriculture industry, the relevant ministry is the Ministry of Agriculture, while the Ministry of Health is responsible for medical practices and food products. The fact that different ministries are involved in governing issues in biotechnol ogy has led to not only the lack of coordination between them but also possible overlapping functions in implementing the 2007 Act and its regulation. Apart from this, however, the provisions of the 2007 Act is rather vague on other bioethical issues. The 2007 Act which was gazetted in 2007, generally provides for biosafety and addresses all Living Modified Organisms (LMOs). It is interesting to note that Malaysia uses the term LMOs rather than GMOs and Malaysia has made a declaration in the Convention of Biodiversity 1994 that the former term gives meaning to the latter.
